@savutano: Thanks for deleting your original comment and reposting something semi-different. Just saying "Naw, it's awesome. Don't like it? The door is over there. Bye." is unnecessarily mean and standoff-ish. I'm entitled to my opinion and comment as a member of this community, and telling me to just leave because I don't like something makes zero sense. Especially since my comment was not mean or offensive and just making a very valid point of wanting to watch something without a ton of soundboard effects being mashed over and over again and the fact that the screen is nearly half just a banner that obfuscates the actual game.
Comments like those make even posting here make people feel unwelcome, and give this community a bad reputation. I figured just by making my comment, I'd get a couple people to just tell me to get out. Looks like I was right. Just because we like different things doesn't mean you need to tell people they should leave, the staff or mods can address that if it really becomes a big deal.
I hope Jeff stops with the soundboard and obnoxious borders in his videos. I've grown increasingly tired of it and really can't stand watching anything he does anymore. He used to be my favorite but the constant barrage of overlaying sound effects are not enjoyable, and really detracts from the game itself.
New Retro Arcade Neon. It allows for VR, moddable with all your own stuff, and a billion times better than the Unity asset import that Coin Game is. They played it years ago on UPF (2015 or2016 I believe). It’s really cool in VR, and they since added a lot and also multiplayer
@dough_montana: I appreciate it. You guys do work that I enjoy, and there are only some time that maybe I just don’t understand the reasoning behind some content decisions. These places have become more hostile towards any type of criticism if it isn’t just absolutely glowing. And I respect everyone else’s opinion as well even if it’s different than my own.

@aproposshadows: what a kind and rational response to my comment. I’m assuming you missed that fact that I said that it was 15 minutes and the beginning and 35 minutes at the end, so a full 50 mins, or almost half of the entire 1 hour and 58 minute runtime. Thank you for making this community fun to post in and not overreacting a comment to something we pay money for.

Edit: So UPF is slowly moving farther and farther away from video games on the show and becoming more of just shooting the breeze? I'm sorry but devoting about 20 mins to a bad joke slide show, then another 15 at the end to just talk about nothing much (not including the first 15 minutes) is not enjoyable to watch for me at all. If this was my first UPF, I'd immediately ask for a refund.
I really want to enjoy Giant Bomb stuff, but the way the site is changing the focus to less and less about video games is really making me consider just cancelling my subscription and going somewhere else.
For those who continue to say “the site is just not for you” then who is it for? because it certainly was back when I started listening every week in 2012. As someone who grew up with the original NES back in 1985 as their first console, a site geared towards covering more than just the newest AAA releases is exactly what I want. I’m not opposed to some goofiness but half of UPF not involving gaming at all, and starting off with diarrhea talk is really not what I expect.
Is there any reason Vinny isn't in this? Why would they record this QL without him? Why wouldn't they do a playthrough of 2 before QLing 3? Seriously, does Giant Bomb have that little regard for the audience that they absolutely refuse to do something that wouldn't just be better for the site, but also because that's how you normally play series of games.... in sequental order? Is there any place where we can get honest answers from the crew?
I totally missed this live, but I have the actual worst 80's song. Laurie Anderson - O Superman. I had part of it as my voicemail message for a solid decade. People hated it, and I don't blame them.
