Dammit Killua, how could you be so mean to Nanika? She's so sad!
Also, did that meeting with Ging feel really anti-climactic? Or was that just me?
No, it was. It did surprise me how faithful the anime is to the manga, though, as that's EXACTLY how it happened. If the anime is stopping where I'm thinking it will stop, you'll get at least some redemption.
I'm gonna have to start reading the manga ASAP, but I'm not sure how far the official volumes are. I don't want to read scanned translations D:
I'm hoping the anime starts again after a few years.
Anybody watch Hunter X Hunter (2011)? Love that show, can't believe it's ending in 2 episodes. Oh, and the manga author is going on hiatus, AGAIN. ;_;
Pfft. Try reading Berserk.
Only then will you know pain.
Does Berserk look like it'll end any time soon? I read the first thirty or so pages and it's interesting, but I'm not sure I wanna go further if there's no end in sight. The series is only slightly older than myself. Kind of crazy that it's still going.
It feels like we're beginning the final act. Characters have just reached desired destinations, and if they don't come up with some other excuse to get on a boat for 4 years, the next logical destination is the conclusion.
I do recommend reading it. The world is cool, the characters are fantastic, the themes are very dark and you'll never hate a fictional character more than the main antagonist of Berserk. It's a special hate.
Would you recommend reading the manga over watching the anime? I'm guessing the anime has one of those butchered endings, like FMA or Hellsing.
