GOTY 2014
Disappointing year. I usually play a ton of games, but these 10 were the only ones that really appealed to me.

I have played this game every day since it came out. It is endlessly challenging and fun. Weird me out that a simple mobile game is my GOTY, but hey it's 2014.

I haven't played card games since Pokemon when I was a child. The simplicity of the mechanics drew me in, but the complexity of strategy kept me in. I'm starting to realize that I really like games that are deceptively simple, like this and Threes!

The closest i've ever gotten to an "Airplane!" video game. THAT'S A REALLY GOOD THING AIRPLANE IS AN AMAZING MOVIE WATCH IT. Hilarious from start to finish, and somehow gets weirder the farther you get in

Very entertaining cartoony multiplayer shooter. The customization on the guns allowed me to experiment to find which gun is the best. I experimented until I realized that the bolt action sniper was the best and maybe OP. I'm kinda good at this game, so that may be why I like it more.

This is not nearly as good as Borderlands 2, but the core mechanics of Borderlands are still in here and still fun! Made me appreciate Borderlands 2 a lot more in retrospect.

An interesting IP that I knew nothing about, but heard good things so I bought the game. The first episode would be my GOTY, but it came out last year. The episodes got weaker as they went on, but I still enjoyed the season as a whole.

Scratched my Roguelike itch that used to be spelunky. Probably not higer on this list because I haven't gotten too far in the game. I've seen the 3rd world boss a handful of times. The characters are very different from each other which is refreshing for a roguelike.

Unlike the Giantbomb staffers, I mostly played Geometry Wars 2. Specifically, the pacifism mode. The adventure mode in this game is fun, but it's not what I come to Geometry Wars for (AND ITS HARD AS HELL). The 3d levels make it really difficult by making it even harder to understand whats going on onscreen.

I did not beat this game, because the combat got a bit tedious but I enjoyed my 8 hours with the game. pretty funny, except the alien anal probe stuff...gross.

This game is fun, but really over hyped and way too easy.
