@shingro: This has been going on for a decade and is one of the most frustrating things with these guys. I love most of their content but they constantly don't read prompts or look into how things work and then complain about them. Look at their Crusader Kings 2 quicklook where they showed absolutely nothing about what makes CK2 great and just fought some wars which are basically the worst part of the game. Or god the Ryan/Patrick Brono Trigger run where they literally were not reading the screen saying that fire doesn't work on such and such enemy and then complaining about how unintuitive the combat was.
Just have to let it go because it is never going to change.
I am not trying to be a dick but I don't think Dan can do this especially if he does them in order, I highly recommend skipping some and coming back to them.. When I was 13-14 I did this and it took me most of a year. Some of the missions are brutal. The Natalia train one is mostly luck based on whether she gets killed and defuses the computer in time because you need to beat it in something like 30 seconds or something crazy(though it is luck based so Dan will probably do it on his first try). There is one with a super harsh timelimit before that as well, 2 minutes I think. Forget breaking brad this is probably the toughest challenge that anyone has tried on this site ESPECIALLY coming back to it 20 years later without the muscle memory or regular N64 use. I look forward to this but I think he is going to get frustrated long before he comes close to beating this.
EDIT: Just reading the comments and remembering that the target times are not part of the difficulty but separate. Still very hard then but not impossible. For those people saying you couldn't do the target times without cheating I respectfully disagree. Like I said I spent an entire summer just playing goldeneye and I completely 100% this game including the target times. It was damned near impossible but not impossible. The facility 2:05 must have taken me hundreds of times. The train is pure luck. The one with Xena at the end is very difficult as well and the outdoor one as well. I still remember calling my local game store and seeing if the game was worth more if it was completed 100%...he of course laughed at me but my 12 year old brain thought it made sense.
Catching up on these while playing myself. It blows my mind how nothing has changed. Also, if you guys want to see people not reading prompts and then blaming the game go back and watch Patrick and Ryan play Brono Trigger. That was soooooooooooooooo frustrating.
Can they ever be in the same room ever? Like I am not expecting MLG strats for guys just having fun but how many times do they have to listen while their teammate alone in a room on the other side of the city dies while they all individually hide in bathrooms?
Maybe instead of trying to make people feel bad you should try to empower transgender people to take on careers in voice acting. A company shouldn't have to pick a less talented person in order to meet your definition of equality. If you are dead set on this path then guess what will happen. You will have no representation in games because no one wants to hire a C-list voice actor just because he or she is transgendered.
If this is the start of a trend and political and economic articles with no real relation to video gaming are posted on this site I will be cancelling my subscription. It would be one thing if this was an article specifically about unionization in the video game industry but it isn't. It is an opinion piece, disguised as news, which by any definition is propaganda and quite frankly we shouldn't have individual editors viewpoints being pushed on us as fact.
Can all the haters just not watch and let those of us who enjoy this content enjoy it. "They aren't playing it right!" Ugh. This isn't like when Patrick couldn't figure out that the fire monster was immune to fire. This is fun and has inspired me to play Kerbin despite having owned it for over a year.
I love how a video about fucking kerbals flying in space becomes an Anti-US circle jerk. Jesus christ. "Dumb Americans use the imperial system hrrr durr." Or maybe, people a lot smarter than anyone posting on a video game website came to the conclusion that the cost is not worth the change.
Scientists already use the metric system for pretty much everything and I for one like the difference between a cold day and a warm day to be 70 units instead of 20 and I like the height variation people have from 5' to 6' rather than 1.5 to 1.8 meters or the ridiculous 150 cm to 180cm. For day to day use the imperial system is undoubtedly better and for scientific purposes the metric system is already used.
