I guess this means I'm going to buy The Old Republic on Origin... gross.

You do know that Origin is going to be required to play SWTOR right. It was announced awhile back that Origin will be required to download the patchs and to play the game. Even the boxed copy is going to make you install Origin just like Steam based games that you buy in a box.

"we believe the private sector will need the assistance and support of government and law enforcement to help secure e-commerce" This is a pathetic cop out  by Sony. I suppose Sony wants the government to regulate their servers? Sony is accusing the US government for their failures.
That is exactly what I got out of that also.  Sounded to me like they want to put in the bare min security needed then make it the governments job to keep it secure / find those that cause the problem.

If you can secure your e-commerce then you need to get out of the business. Thats like me opening up a computer store in the middle of town and not locking the door at night. Then when it gets robbed I blame the city / government for not providing / helping secure the building.
