Just as a reminder to folks, 358/2 Days and Re:Coded are not playable in this collection (they were DS games), these are just cutscene movies so you can see the story. The 3DS Game, Dream Drop Distance, did get a remaster in the 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue collection (which also includes the BBS 0.2 a fragmentary passage, which is kind of an epilogue to Birth By Sleep, and X Back Cover, a companion movie to the mobile game that is about to be wrapped up/shut down).
I definitely get moving on from KH1 for a bit, not having scan in that game is painful. Excited to see how Vinny responds to 2 with no context.
Also definitely in for more GBA. Much of my appreciation for RPGs and 2D gaming comes from playing GBA, as my first console was an N64. Also Megaman Battle Network 3 is a top 5 GBA game, fight me.
Honestly, congrats on getting all four evidence pieces without too much trouble. I definitely thought that would go worse than it did.
I think we're starting to see the consequences of the rotating couch. Jason had never even seen the right side up version of the bizarre room (and I guess never will) so he had no shot of helping Ben go to the correct version even when looking at the guide.
As someone who has beaten every KH game and played through KH1 again a few years ago, I appreciate seeing it through other eyes! I may know it too well to not get frustrated though...
Great article! I definitely have similar anxieties about not wanting to be the worst or let others down when I'm playing online. It's a big factor in why I didn't want to go after a lot of endgame content in FFXIV (the other being time commitment). I was always too afraid of being a shitty DRG or shitty tank, so I didn't bother. I managed to overcome a little bit of tanking anxiety while leveling warrior but I never ran endgame content as a tank.
