@roean: Wow that's a lot of new stuff, I didn't think it would be that much. I'd love to go online with some friends as that seems to be the ideal way to play that game, but I still might try it with strangers too though. That post was a lot of help I think I'll upgrade. Thanks!

Ok, so when Ultimate came out last year, I realized I never played a Monster Hunter game so I bought Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii(even though I knew the servers were going down in a month). The thing is, I haven't played more than like an hour of it. So now I'm seeing Ultimate for the Wii U for like $20 and my question is; is it worth it to spend the money for an HD upgrade of a game that I already have, but haven't played. Not only the HD, but is there enough new content there to justify upgrading? Keeping in mind I probably won't ever go online because I don't have any friends that play Monster Hunter, so the new game having servers doesn't make much of a difference to me.

IN SUMMARY(TL:DR): Is Ultimate worth getting for $20 even though I own Tri for the Wii but haven't played it yet.

I don't really agree that Dark Souls and Spelunky are as similar as you seem to think since Spelunky is much more randomized. Remembering what certain enemies do isn't really the same as going through the exact same area over and over again. Overall this was a great article though Patrick. Looking forward to the next one.

I think he explained the similarities and differences well. Like yeah it's not exactly the same but both games are about learning the enemies more than the environment.

@csl316: Totally. Really want them to do another Big Live Live show next year.

They probably are not allowed to show footage (or at least the GB type of footage) until release date. Either that or they didn't have the man power this week.

Yeah I know Jeff has talked about waiting to do QLs if they aren't allowed to show what they want to show so this must be it since Dan did play it on Gamespot's The Lobby this week.

Though this might be the most significant video in Giant Bomb's history.

That's actually a good question.

@hailinel: You positive that's the case? Was that confirmed somewhere? Just wondering

It's been reported in multiple places. Here's one link.

That seems pretty conclusive so I don't know why I keep seeing people that have gotten download codes in their case. I wonder if the plans changed from when they announced it or if it's only on disc for like the first printing run or if there's just spreading misinformation out there. Thanks.

Yeah I knew that you can get the discount if you buy them both digitally. I just wanted to make sure that if you bought it at retail in NA that Bayonetta 1 is also on the disk or if that is only in Japan.

Ok so a Bayonetta 1 port is included with Bayonetta 2 for Wii U. The problem I'm having is knowing if it's on the disk or just a download code. I've read that it's on disk in Japan but in North America it's a download code. If anybody here in NA bought the game at retail can you confirm that the first game is a download code? I'd rather have it on disk especially since Wii Us don't have a lot of space. Cheers.

Was really sad when I heard this news. Sucks that you're leaving, but good luck.
