This N64 hating is absurdity. The N64 trumps the PSX in all capacities except storage, FMV, and VO. It was a more powerful machine with 3D games that looked better. No, not all the games were great, but the swimmy graphics of the PSX are nauseating. Entire textures flicker and warp constantly every time the camera is moved. Nothing about the original Playstation holds up. Hell, Metal Gear Scanlon proved that out already with arguably the PSX's greatest game. Both systems have some classics on them, but the differences are clear; PSX classics are known for their story, N64 classics are known for their gameplay. Why? Because N64 was a better gaming machine.
I don't know if either new Tomb Raider has out-Uncharted Uncharted, but I do know they were my personal favorite games of their respective years. That and the combat is definitely better than Uncharted's.
You'd think that would garner more positive attention. I have yet to play the full game, but I found the BO3 beta a much more rewarding moment to moment experience than AW ever was. Jeff seems to care more about air strafing than anything in the game, but frankly AW's movement felt cobbled together. It wasn't smooth. It was a baby step in a positive direction whereas in the BO3 beta felt like full strides were made to make a much more fun and fluid game. If it's broken it's broken, but if it's like the beta I can tell already which one I like more.
