My entire basement once filled with spiders. I had to do a ton of research to make myself feel better about it. Turns out it was just spider mating season, and there was a lot of fruit flies kicking around because of a bunch of flowers that ended up dying. Spider food. Apparently there are a lot of bugs that are generally good to keep around, and will disappear after a while when there's no more food. This sounds similar.
The crazy thing is, while not new, there's a little shop set up by one guy at my school who always seems to have Dreamcasts. Sells them for 99 dollars, game and controller included. I'm thinking it might be wise to jump on that opportunity soon.
