Tomorrow, my comrade and I will record the 18th episode of our rather poorly conceived Endurance Run imitation, A Tall Cold Glass of Giygas. After 17 episodes, I now see clearly that I am committed to finishing this game. It is not a bad game--indeed, I suspect many would defend it, especially on grounds of the primitive machinery for which it was developed. However, such arguments in my estimation carry little weight, so little as, for instance, the argument that the great pyramid is an architectural marvel, despite our society's ability to design and produce structures altogether more marvelous. Earthbound, like the pyramid, is in that respect at best an anthropological curiosity, but in every dimension falls short of the appellation "classic." It is at best a footnote in the annals of video game history.

When we finish the game, I suspect I will write a review on Giantbomb in the "user reviews" section. I'd like to start marketing the show, and I suppose that is what I principally aim to accomplish by this blog. Let's make it a regular thing then!
