For a site that welcomes diversity and acceptance of all people's outward appearances, that was a surprisingly prejudice joke.
Giant Bomb usually avoids riffing on looks, so it feels a little jarring to highlight a human NPC who I wouldn't think twice about seeing on the street and be like "get a load of this weirdo!"
This is a vaguely human looking digital character made up of hastily assembled polygons. The chances of anyone in the world naturally looking like Dreamsicle afro guy are minuscule. If such a person actually exists, then I concede the point, and I feel sorry for Brad making fun of them, and for the fact that they have to live their life looking like the goofiest motherfucker in their area code.
