The only contest here is for second place.  It's annoying to see Microsoft screw this contest up as badly as they have.  Microsoft had a nice big lead early but their quest to be profitable got in their way of beating Sony.  Last year when Microsoft dropped the price of the 360 from $399 to $349 they saw a 100,000 unit increase in sales.  This time around they actually sold less systems.  Considering top analysts adnd even the NPD group thought the 360 would sell in the low 300,000s selling barely 200,000 has to be a slap in the face of Microsoft and the analysts.  Microsoft is losing this generation and it's because of neglect from the people running the business.  Robbie Bach, Dan Mattrick, and Shane Kim should all be fired for blowing Microsoft's lead and failing in Europe.
