I can't not imagine all the random grunts hanging out in that war room scene just looking at each other like "what the fuck are these people talking about?" just off-screen.
Small tip: Don't equip squad mates with the Phalanx pistol. It's the best option for Shepard, but squad mates don't have to worry about accuracy so they actually benefit way more from the higher ROF of the other pistols. This is also true of the Locust SMG, which becomes available in one of the DLC missions.
The historiography of the the 5th/6th centuries CE in Western Europe is just about the single most convoluted thing in the entire field and Alex gets his head around it about as well as can be reasonably expected without a month of research time.
My GOTY list didn't make it into the community spotlight a couple weeks ago, but as a piece of writing I'm pretty happy with it. It's also kind of funny to read it back having gotten into Red Dead, which would have been a strong contender for the top spot had a played it a month ago.
@edmundus: I didn't get to Obra Dinn, unfortunately. I really wanted to because everything about it seems extremely my thing. Hopefully I'll have a chance to check it out some time in the new year.
Alongside Into the Breach and Celeste I think Obra Dinn makes for a pretty good trio of incredibly impressive work from developers that made their name in that first wave of really popular indie games.
