So I just finished my first playthrough, my opinion.

The Whole series of games has been Shephard making impossible decisions. Many of which Took away from others.

1. Garrus not being able to kill The doctor ( if you choose that.)

2. Making Wrex destroy the only hope (at the time) of curing the Genephase.

3. Choosing life or death of Raccini queen.

4. Telling tali that her people are worth it. OR the geth that their people aren't worth it. Or to bad live together and get over it.

5. fixing or sabotaging the Genophase.

I could go on but we all played the game. It came down to a person had to make a decision, never did she really want to. She came to kill all the AI she loves to save organics... but wait... this has most likely had been done before, as Starchild told you this happens. so... all you don't is pushing everything off until a new AI comes and then one day wipe organic life out. what if they do it all life... Starchild doesn't want that. He wants organics to survive. (also explains why the reapers hated Geth)

She could decide to control the reapers... CONTROL Beings that are so far advanced that they are new godhood. But sure that is a good idea, and maybe it works out. But tell me. Should rats be able to control humans? because that is a rough estimate of the difference in minds.

Refuse.... so you sentence everyone to die... Yes. Let's give up in the end. also, the message left for the next Race... likely wont work since the star child said he has to change things.

Synthesis. Shephard gave up herself to create a new type of DNA like hers so that everyone can have some connect and have some possibility of living in peace.

FACE IT. She took the choice from everyone the moment she got to Starchild. She Things where going to change one way or the other. She was the one left and had to make a choice. also, she was one the few that was strong enough to fight the mental hits the reapers gave her. She was always going to decide the life of everyone, No one Asked for the reapers to come. No one wanted this. They were stuck with the situation... because life isn't fair.

I went with Synthesis. to give all life a chance. and it's what my Shepherd would do. ( she did rewrite the Geth heretics. soo... Consistency.)

as a romance value. She is always with Kaidan but she is now across the sea with Thane... so... that works too.
