Hi All!

Big Giantbomb fan here! I discovered the site with my uncle when we used to watch Quicklooks looking for what we could play next. Now, nothing is more relaxing than being back home and watching Jeff and the crew talking about the hottest gaming news or their favorite pizza.

So why adapt Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil into a shortfilm? I don't even play shmup! But there's something zen-like about watching 1CC shmup's runs. Can something be more beautiful than someone finding a seemingly impossible path trough thousands and thousands of bullets?

There're already many videos depicting the relationships between the much loved cast of this game. So inspired by the peaceful state of mind these games made me feel, I wanted to find a way to showcase these much beautiful bullet's pattern along the story itself of the game. So what's Touhou 6: EoSD all about?

During a peaceful summer in Gensokyo, an unnatural scarlet mist appears without warning and covers much of the land. It is strong enough to block out the sun, causing the affected areas to become dark and cold. Reimu Hakurei, a shrine maiden working at the Hakurei Shrine, and Marisa Kirisame, a magician, set out to find the source of the mist. Their search will lead them to the Scarlet Devil Mansion and to its eccentric owners...

Now we know the story, let's start by finding Reimu! Luckily, after asking in a facebook fanpage of the game here in Chile, many people responded. I'm no Touhou's connoisseur so it's been a great help having the person playing Reimu, close and familiar with the original material. Time to meet and do the first tests!

In the next update, let's talk about our Scarlet Devil! Also, time to start thinking how to translate on screen the most important mechanism of the game, the hitpoint (the part of your character which if one bullet touches it, you loose).
