@animateria: I can agree with plessy but I've been a big MH fan for years and tbh they do teach you fundamentals of the weapons and how to use them properly....in the bookshelf next to your bed (nobody can read) they explain every weapon in detail right from the start, as well as the bookshelf can teach even the most professional hunters a few tricks, hell it even tought me a few things and I went from MH 1 on the PsP to MHP3G, it really boils down to who pays attention to what details and who can read and understand the fundamentals that are explained. Furthermore the game damn sure isn't supposed to be easy, if dragons and dino's existed you can bet your ass taking one down wih a sword in modern day times would take just as long if not longer....if you want to get people into the game just spread the love to friends, we did in high-school and we had full party's playing the game, sometimes people would even have to wait for us to finish a hunt to play, nobody pays attention to small details, that's why it's hard to get people into it, plus if you think abt it, MH isn't for morons who want to hack and slash everything...there is alot of knowledge packed into the game, item combinations, weapon types, armor types, skills, felyne skills, item information (what items do what, where to gather them), monster information, what area number a big monster will appear in and where it will most likely be or run to when its weakened, what items to bring on a mission, what items and how many you will need for gather so you don't run out of room gathering said items, what items give guild and pokke points for your farm, learning the areas and what spots to gather at......its truly overwhelming unless you have people who can help you, I recently got my 10 and 13 yr old brothers into playing MHFU with me and so far they love it....and when I read demon souls all I can think is I've thought the same thing and that the MH game designers and dark souls game designers need to get together and make a truly epic MH game, ik they could do it and we both know it would have beautiful scenery along with epic gameplay and weapons.....that's all for now but I did enjoy the read, very well put together and that pic of plessy omfg funny haha, so true, anywho have a good day and be well, fast, strong and victorious on your hunts fellow hunter, (speaking of plessy its what I'm trying to slay as we speak)
