The bullshit thing about the RE4 inventory was if it was full, and you had an empty weapon, found ammo for it, you couldnt just PUT THE AMMO IN THE WEAPON. Its right there in your hand. Nope, you have to put something in your inventory before you can use it.
'Fans of the genre' AND 'mixed bag' in the same paragraph, now thats meta. Not sure if 'gameplay' and 'stick the landing' are also notorious throwbacks or not.
But yeah, I sort of fell out of reviews a while back, and blame doesnt lie at the delivery of games in different ways, I just found general discussions on podcasts and getting insight through some sort of brief view of the game served me well in deciding how to spend time or money.
You get access to community tracks when you play online multiplayer. I wonder if you get community tracks if you do local split screen which is what I intend to do. If not, thats going to really limit the lifespan.
Ive only seen a few clips of The Wire and havent been motivated to watch more. Its definitely not a world I want to spend 'entertainment time' in, and have long realised, and this may be a limitation of mine, that fiction I enjoy needs to have some characters in I actually 'like', as in would want to spend time with. Not just strong performances, and good writing thats socially accurate.
An interesting addition, and it sounds like these guys have the comedy chops. My personal reservation is not being a music guy, like Im the 'Dan Rykert' of music. I've only heard of Weezer through GB and I was about 2 years into Drake references on The Bombcast before I realised they werent talking about Uncharted, so Im not sure any of this will mean anything to me.
@jeff Not sure if you need glasses for close or distance, but if you have different up close distance prescriptions, beware bifocals for computer use. If you sit close to a large monitor or tv so it takes up a lot of your field of vision, bifocals are a big fail because you dont get peripheral vision in focus and lose the edges of the screen/task bar etc. Varifocals or progressives are even worse.
Having a pair just for computer use is OK, but it soon becomes a pain in the ass taking them on and off every time you leave the chair. Franklin/Executive lenses have been a good choice for me for around the home. Bottom half of lense for computer, top half of lense for general use.
With PS5 running PS4 games just fine, that mostly ruins the market for PS4 remastered editions in a way that wasnt true PS3 to PS4, which makes me wonder if we are going to see haptics used as a way to sell us old games again. Uncharted 4 : Haptics Edition etc.
@onlineatron: I would be shocked if there wasnt a system level flag to say turn off resistance, for that very reason. I seem to remember being able to turn off rumble at system level on other systems, not that Ive checked, so why not this.
I can imagine a few specific lock pick mini game style situations where they would ask you to use it for gameplay purposes but this feels like less of a design barrier than 'colour blind mode.'
