I fear the day that Pokémon has achievements.

God forbid that Nintendo should one day cotton on to how much they can capitalise on compulsive gamers such as myself by just implementing a rewards system. Catching Pokémon is rewarding enough (except it's not really, unless you battle all super-hardcore), but getting points for it? I shan't lie, this blog was to get an achievement - while I mention it, the Quest system for GB is quite possibly the best thing to happen to the internet - so I disguised it by putting Pokémon at the front of discussion because it's the first thing I thought of.

I'm sure this wont be the first time you've considered how mercilessly absorbing a Pokémon game with 'achievements' would be, and a unified social platform to share them over to give them some kind of value. It would work damn well with Mario games as well, and even Zelda given that there's often so many collection side quests. It might be an obvious point, but Nintendo games seem to inherently support some kind of reward system - perhaps it is their philosophy that the player should be rewarded with more than progression through the game anyway.

I've been a Woffl, and this was a lame excuse to get an achievement and complete my quest.
