Weezer used to make music that I could relate to. They made music that was different. I was hopeful about their new album Hurley which stupidly has a picture of the actor who plays Hurley from Lost on the cover. I pre-ordered a special edition Green Vinyl, only 1000 were made and it also came with a downloadable code. I downloaded the album last night and it was fucking horrible. It honestly made me want to cry. There is a song entitled "Where's My Sex?" which is the most retarded fucking song I've ever heard.  The lyrics go "I can't go out without my sex. It's cold outside and my toes get wet."
This album has ruined Weezer's legacy for me. I guess it's official, Rivers Cuomo has officially sold out. When he's not topping the charts with B.O.B. he's releasing horrible cliche pop albums with the old band. If your a Weezer fan I recommend you don't give this one a listen. Listening to this album will only depress you. I'm going to go pretend this never came out and go listen to Pinkerton now.

I never really liked Weezer except for a couple songs here and there. Everybody raves about them, but I have heard (like many other bands) "Man, their new stuff isn't as good as their old stuff." But I wouldn't know, I'm not a Weezer fan.

When Weezer made good music River Cuomo's life sucked, and he had bad luck with women etc. Now that his life is pretty much perfect what the hell is he gonna write about? I have given up on Weezer.

that sucks. I didn't really like the one before that either. 

I listen to 2 Weezer songs. That's all. I can't get into the other stuff they've made.

It wasn't a horrible album. I liked Unspoken. It was bizarre that they did a cover of Viva la Vida though.

Just remember Weezer for what they were as opposed to what they are now; it's better that way.

"Memories" is a good song! But honestly, if you're pissed off about a "bad" Weezer album, you must have been pissed off for the past decade or so.

The last 4 albums or so were okay but I LOVE Hurley, my favorite Weezer album since Pinkerton.

Weezer completely fucked up their sound after Pinkerton.

Good thing I never liked Weezer in the first place. 

 
I did however talk myself into buying Death Magnetic so I feel your pain.

Weezer was at least decent around Maladroit, but I think their drop in quality happened around when Matt Sharp left. Shame about the new album though, I thought memories has some good composition, aside from the shitty lyrics. 
The talk about Rivers Cuomo selling or not making music cause he's sad is crazy speak, he's just going insane. They do put one hell of a show on though.

it seems like new albums that come out suck. look at my little blog about linkin park's new album. i was disappointed with their new album. i kind of knew that it was going to happen because of minutes to midnight. 
 
i'm not a fan of weezer, i dont' listen to them.
