Alex, you did great! Playing extra cautious paid off because you didn't lose anyone and now you have a squad with some decent experience.
Also not trying to downplay your run, but you had some major RNG on your side. On the second mission every overwatch placed was on target which netted you some really sweet turns.
Would be pretty hilarious though if Vinny spins this series where one member of the Exquisite Corps is the mole bent on sabotaging the whole thing.
Seriously though Dan, with all that talk about beating XCOM and XCOM 2, you played like trash. You made excellent decisions in the meta-game layer but then you fucked it all up when you put guys in zero cover.
With all that said, this is probably by far the most entertaining series I've watched since the Soul Caliber This is the Run series.
I finished D4 two weeks ago and came off with the same feeling of disappointment.
When I finished the game, I wanted to replay the game again... but I had no motivation to play again. The story ends in a cliffhanger, you don't learn much from the side stories and the next season is not going to be released anytime soon. Also to pour salt on the wound, the Kinect is dead and Access Games doesn't seem to have the funding for another season.
I would still say the game is worth playing if you can get the game through a discount (I got D4 via a Humble Bundle package). The game is strange, different and doesn't play like any other adventure game. It's a nice change of pace from your standard click and point adventure games and your Telltale style narrative focused games.
