I mean this sincerely: this series helped provide me with a lot of relief as I was student teaching this past fall. Extremely good escape material. Thanks Beast Crew.
Fond memories about hyping up the new MB releases with friends back in this day. We did this thing in elementary school where we made boxes to receive Valentine's Day candy/cards from our classmates, and for two years in a row my mom helped me create giant mighty bean collection boxes out of old pop bottles. I know we still had those buried away in a closet somewhere; I should find them (and my old MB collection).
Really have been enjoying this game so far! I'm about 40 hours in currently, and the story feels very rewarding thus far. Character designs can be hit or miss (and sometimes extremely bad), but generally the characters housed in said designs are charming. Gameplay can be repetitive, but it is a lot deeper than shown here--the game unfolds that stuff pretty slowly, but I personally think it's better for it.
Also really haven't had any issues with the voice acting--maybe I just have a higher tolerance for this stuff? Your mileage will certainly vary, basically.
I wasn't expecting them to utilize the exact same level design from the first game as much as they have... Probably won't discourage me from eventually playing it (and it isn't necessarily a bad thing by any means, R&C is one of my all time favorites/most influential games in my life. Looks really nice regardless
