Huh.  For some reason I expected way more heavy metal bands.  Some of my favorites would be:   Pretty much every Radiohead album Modern Life is Rubbish - Blur Achtung Baby - U2 Permanent Waves - Rush Pretty much all of The Clash Armed Forces - Elvis Costello The Eraser - Thom Yorke The Extremist - Joe Satriani Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie

  • It's like asking someone whether they prefer flip-flops to combat boots.   There is room in the universe for both.  I chose LOTR, though.

Really liking the series.  Hope your dad keeps makes it to the end.  He seems really into the story - given how pressure is put on the player to go after Saren, I'm interested to see how many side missions he'll do.

@Mordukai said: "   It's nice to see that Bioware stood by their word and provided a steady stream of DLC for Mass Effect...ohh wait a minute....Never Mind.  I really hope that it won't take them TWO FUCKING YEARS to come up with WORTHY DLC for Mass Effect 2.      "It's not actually made by BioWare, either.  It's done by the guys who did the PC port.  I don't blame them, really.  I would rather ...

  • I don't think it's that unusual for one's first ME playthrough to be short.  I mean, all through the game the point is emphasized that you've got to stop Saren now - the sense of urgency got to me so much that I felt like doing side missions was almost inappropriate, in a way.  Before I knew it, I was facing off against Saren himself.  On additional playthroughs, I got ...

I think the closer the DS is to a cell phone, the more Nintendo misses the point.

The DS is a hand-held gaming platform.  It's the perfect way for the average consumer to get into games, and for the casual gamer to delve into more hardcore offerings.

More gamers means more software sales.

Nintendo needs to focus less on the actual hardware (which is fine the way it is) and focus on making software that encourages people to get into gaming; titles that range from the almost-non-game-casual to the this-is-serious-business-hardcore games.

Those casual-turned-core gamers can then expand their experiences with more "traditional" consoles like the 360 or PS3, which is definitely a good thing for the gaming business.

So, Nintendo - we don't need no stinkin' NintenPhone; we just want more games to play on our DS.

Only then can we start on our Crusade to convert all the world's people to the gamer's way of life.

I just did a quick thing in GIMP, "Halo NFL 2k5".

I think it's totally awesome.  It is now my profile pic.

Sweet.  I'm totally going to not have anything to say that would require a blog post.

In fact, I'm most likely just to totally forget about this thing.

I never blog.  Maybe I should start, though, y'know?

All the GiantBombers blog, and I sure want to fit in.... but I'm too lazy for peer pressure at the moment.

I'm too lazy for pretty much anything.

Ciao.

Spider-Man for Dummies (PC)
Spider-Man 2 for the PC is a game that really sticks with you.  Kind of like a spider-web. Except spider-webs aren't broken, buggy (or are they?), overly simple, obviously low-budget, or tedious.  Spider-Man 2 definitely is.  The plot is completely nonsensical.  The first cut-scene you see involves Spider-Man witnessing the birth ...

BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is probably one of, if not the best Star Wars video game ever made.  It manages to capture that classic Star Wars feel that everyone knows and loves better than even George Lucas has with his prequels.  Knights of the Old ...
