God, the heretical grinder is such a bad shard. It's incredibly funny to look at but it's like comically mana inefficient and does pretty bad damage. Vinny's gear isn't even that bad, but the damage shards are pretty weak. It's a shame they didn't get a copy of 8-bit Fireball when they went into that hidden level because that shit is super strong and drops from the generic enemies, but I'm pretty sure they do have Flying Dagger/Riga Storaema (requires a couple of rubies to upgrade it before it gets really good) which is what I used for 80% of the game.
They actually are depicted as weird lion heads with five goat legs. It's sort of like how some angels were being described as being nothing but a bunch of wings or a flaming eyeball.
Also, you've got multiple shortcuts now which are the gear sets. They can be a bit annoying to tweak repeatedly but they're super handy for swapping between weapons like the flying sword and lightsaber, for example.
Welcome Company is ridiculously good and if you upgrade it a few times you get more and more paintings. It looks goofy as hell but it will shred anything you get near
Krogans have four testicles (redundant organs and all that), which is what they mean when they're talking about 'quads' so being a 'quint' would mean...well, you can figure it out.
I think the 'one person gets transformed first' strat is the safest one on most levels (maybe not the bears, rip), but since you can't get there with the orbs from the first pig you probably want to split that one since it does seem like the power up actually lets you kill stuff more easily.
I really don't know why they don't do one person beast mode first. Most of the forms have a ranged attack so they wouldn't have to constantly deal with the awful range on their human attacks.
