Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness

Overview

Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness is a hidden object based adventure game developed by Brave Giant Studio and published by Artifex Mundi for PC, Mac, and Linux.

Story

An evil sorcerer shows up at the royal palace to kidnap the princess' child. The child's godfather Magnus tries to save them. He manages to keep the princess safe, but Prince Henrik gets turned to stone and the child still kidnapped by the sorcerer.

The princess then sets out on a quest to save her child and husband and find out who this evil sorcerer is and why he wanted their child.

Gameplay

Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness uses a point and click style interface while players navigate the world, which is made up of a series of scenes. These scenes are represented by a single screen image with objects and characters to interact with. Some of the objects can be obtained and placed in the players inventory which can then be used to progress through many of the games puzzles.

Hidden Object Scenes

The games many hidden object scenes are made up of a single screen with many objects cluttering it up. There is a list of 12 specific items at the bottom of the screen that the player must find within the scene. Hints can be used at any time to help find one of the remaining items in the scene, but before it can be used again it must be recharged.
