red dead redemption is the sequel to 2004's red dead revolver, The game star John martens, a outlaw with a past that won't let him leave behind, The game is essentially grand theft 4 meets the wild west. The rage engine has been re jigged for the wild west, with emphasis place on gun-play. The environment is absolutely huge, and wonderfully occupied by wild animals, flower, herbs and people. The world is based on the Mexican Texas border, with the rockstar spin on it. Missions draw influences from the great western films. Outside these missions, you can look for treasure, hunt animals, search for flowers, preform various sharpshooting challenges, as well as hunt down bounty targets. Players can also part take in gun duels/ Here players use a slow mode call red eye to help kill or shot the gun out of the hand of your enemy. The characters in Red dead redemption are classic rockstar, and thoroughly entertaining. Their are some glitches, that unfortunately remind you that it is still a game, and the isolation of the west is not really felt. saying that Red dead redemption is without doubt the best Western game developed in the history of video game. This game is easily worth your spare cash, and imo is a better game then gta4. 5/5
