All these games have cool names. I'll add more as I remember them / discover new ones. Feel free to give suggestions.

Nice list. Transistor and Bastion are both dope names too, Supergiant has a talent for picking them. Also E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy(!)

My favorite remains the startling and deeply evocative...

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream

I was going to add that but it's based on a short story of the same name, so I felt it was kind of cheating.

That might be my favourite name of any form of entertainment (I'm going with the short story here, since that's the original). Just a chilling name.

Great list btw!

Yeah, I was even gonna mention that in my post. ;)

But for a title that beautifully impactful, I let it slide.

What about Wargasm? I still have a hard time deciding if it's one of the best or worst game names.

A few nominees:

Red Dead Redemption

Deus Ex (what else is a player character in almost all video games but that exactly?)

Metal Gear Solid (we are so used to it I think we don't realize how cool of a name it is, especially witht he full "Tactical Espionage Action" tagline)

Half-Life (also a great name, taken for granted probably)

Doom (ditto!)

Max Payne (perfect for their style of comic book noir)

Wolfenstein (and associated sequels).

Good list!

Quadrilateral Cowboy, Alan Wake/Max Payne, Guacamelee, and Papers Please are my contributions.

A random idea for a list, but I'm into it! May I suggest Decap Attack? (not sure why that was the first thing to come to mind, but hey!)

For some reason, the fact that there's a game simply called "Butt" tickles me just so. Maybe it does for you, too.

How about Crusader: No Remorse.

@devoureroftime: You and I have very similar taste in game names.

That's because we have a good taste in game names.

LUFTRAUSERS If only because its so fun to say.

Generally solid list, but I don't know if The World Ends with You or BIT-TRIP Runner are super great titles.

Also, I agree with @elwoodan because this list needs more LUFTRAUSERS (with as heavy a campy German accent as possible).

Sunset Overdrive is a fucking awesome name.

I'd like to request Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos, a crappy old NES isometric platformer in some ways a very crude example of a "Metroidvania".

The Need for Speed

Thirty flights of loving

Gone Home

How did I forget that one? It came out earlier this year as well.

I loved Fexanadu. I also remember my brother having Crystal Castles and who hasn't played the original Metroid?! It feels sacrilegious to say but I've never had the chance to play Chrono Trigger. Viewtiful Joe was fun as hell too.

I dunno if you're counting Japlish games but I was looking at rare GBA games the other day and there's some incredible ones in there.

Komugi-Chan no Happy Cake
Nakayoshi Pet Advance Series 4: Kawaii Koinu Mini - Wanko to Asobou!!
MiniMoni: Mika no Happy Morning Chatty
Bouken Yuuki Pluster World: Pluston GP
Konami Wai Wai Racing
and not least Hamster Club.

US-wise I think The Ripping Friends: The World's Most Manly Men! takes some beating, so to speak.

I have to suggest A Machine For Pigs because it sounds pretty rad to me
