Always wanted to be a cowboy and finally found my fix
Red dead revolver is a finely polished gem that would please western fan with cliche's and cowboys galore.
For the single player portion red dead revolver takes you to many locales. From frontier towns to gold filled mountains and even on the back of a run away train, red dead revolver takes you for a ride. Killing enemies net you gold for use on upgrading weapons and health alike. Pistols aren't the only weapons at your disposal. For groups of enemies nothing gets the job done like a stick of dynamite or jobs up close and personal, the coach shotgun does nicely.
The story of red dead revolver revolves around the wandering protagonist named Red who's looks for the person that killed his family. Along the way he meets friends that also have been wronged and tag along the way. The story is told through these characters and mixes things up quite nicely. From a English circus shooter looking for gold to a struggling female rancher that's looking to get revenge for shutting her ranch shutting down. Like any western it wouldn't be the same without horseback gunning and running. Of course no western is complete with out duels and red dead revolver pulls it off nicely with the dead eye power. Dead eye slows down time that allows you to place shots on your opponents with deadly precision. Of course in duels with dead eye being quick on the draw is extremely important so don't slip up!
Multiplayer is a riot with up to four players with dozens of characters to choose from. The list to choose from is quite impressive and with each their own special power. There are many different modes to choose from. To win gold rush is who ever collects the most amount of gold before the round ends but watch out other players can kill you and take it. There is also a poker mode that you collect cards that grant you special powers. It can be quite frantic with everyone rushing and shooting to card to get that extra edge.
Graphically speaking it gets the job done but some rough edges show up from time to time. The sound is one of the strongest aspects capturing the feeling perfectly. Also having a freaking sweet theme song helps too. In short any western fan will get a kick out of it and non-western fans will probably too.
