Description:
Characterized by his glasses and long orange hair, Rick's role has changed from game to game.
Game Appearances:
- Harvest Moon 64 - The local Flowerbud Village inventor, Rick runs a tool shop that sells important items such as the brush, the milker and the blue feather (for marriage). He is Ann and Gray's cousin, and will sometimes share stories about them. Rick spends most of his time inventing, which is why his shop is closed more often than other places in the village.
- Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Rick works at the family chicken shop but essentially runs it since his mother, Lillia, is sickly and his father is traveling to find a cure for her condition. He sometimes reveals that he is resentful about it, though since he is a workaholic he is generally the reliable one. This causes him to butt heads with the carefree Kai or his sister, Popuri, to whom their father had never delegated any tasks. He is impatient with his sister who is not as skillful as he is. Despite all of this, he truly cares about the business and will lecture the player if they neglect to take care of their chickens. He deeply loves his family and will have sad dialogue if Popuri marries Kai, as the couple would only return to town during summer. Karen is his childhood friend and they bond over helping their parents run their family businesses. They can be found hanging out on a bench in town in the early morning or sharing a drink at the bar after work. Should the protagonist not pursue her, Karen and Rick will marry.
- Harvest Moon: Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Back to Nature." Now a potential marriage candidate for the female protagonist (More Friends of Mineral Town only).
- Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town." Lillia has more dialogue noting Rick's attraction to Karen. Also added cutscenes about Rick's memories of his father and his struggles to keep the family afloat in his absence. His special gift to the protagonist (displayable in the player's house) is an old broken watch from his father. Despite it's obvious sentimental value, he feels comfortable giving it to someone he trusts.
