Riki is chosen by the village elder of the remote region Margmel to head out into the world and retrieve a group of legendary, magical rings, the power of which may save their dying homeland. Young, naive and easy-going Riki may not seem the best candidate for the task, but he is fortunate enough to run into a young woman named Mei-Ling, who is also looking for the rings and willing to join with Riki on their quest. Far more worldly and savvy than Riki himself, Mei-Ling proves a valuable ally.
Riki has no unique traits as a playable character, only having the same range of abilities and options as any other monster-class character. However, over the course of his quest he gains several magic rings only available in his quest, and while any character he recruits can use them , they are still an advantage afforded only to his quest.
He can also be recruited in many characters quests simply by speaking to him in the bar in scrap.
Riki is also sometimes known as "Coon".
