Final Mission PC bug, or do I just suck?

    Spoilers ahead.

I'm in the third part of the final mission, where I've gotten to the armory and left my team behind to wear power armor and fly through the ship. I fucking cannot avoid walls. The farthest I can get is to where Kinzie says I'm approaching a defense grid, and I bang off a wall. What the fuck am I missing? I've tried this at least 20 times, no exaggeration. Any help or pointers towards a video with commentary would be appreciated. This sucks.

@asmo917: had the same issue. I think you need to move your directional stick up and hold it. I think the key is to hold it. They don't explain that very well. If not that it is something else but you need to hold it that is all i remember....good luck

Thanks - finally got it after another dozen tries. I saying it's 75% me not grasping the controls and 25% shitty controls. Fuck if that wasn't frustrating and I can't wait to play it again.

It's always funny reading stuff like this. I always seem to blow past stuff on my first try with zero problems, then get stuck on some random dumb thing no one else gets hung up on. Puzzles in games are the biggest ones. I will give a puzzle 2-3 tries before I alt tab to find a guide online.

By the last dozen or so store hacking sequences I was just looking up the solutions. They felt like a waste of time at that point.

See, those are a perfect example. I thought they would get progressively harder, but I only ever got stuck on like 2-3 of them and they were all near the start/middle. I seem to recall one of them in the 20's getting me, but the the rest I just breezed right through.

Well here is the sequence in a Lets Play:

    Loading Video...

(6:30) The sequence starts. Not sure what's happening as that part should be without issue. Maybe you keep hitting those big lamp things? Try staying in the middle of the shaft.

It's funny - I still don't understand how I got through it. I know the mechanical change I made; I was using one stick to try to position my body and the other as a kind of "dodge" maneuver. Once I gave that up and started using both sticks to move around essentially randomly, I got past it. I even tried mouse and keyboard a few times with no luck. What made this so frustrating was everything else around movement and control in the game had been so fluid and intuitive, and then I hit a brick wall. The ending cinematics though - all worth it.

I had the same issue. It took me a few tries before I actually started moving. It felt like it just wasn't working at first and I died 3 or 4 times. I was about ready to write it off as a bug and reset the mission but eventually I started moving even though I was fairly certain I was doing the same thing as the previous tries. This part was weird.

The controls are weird on that part. The way the character moves in relations to the screen seems counter-intuitive to what you are actually trying to do. It took me a few tries to figure out the way the controls worked, and after that I didn't have any problems
