So I picked up SR3 today on Steam, and the game runs great and looks gorgeous (as gorgeous as it can look, anyway). But it refuses to detect my 360 pad.. Every other game I play with a pad work fine still, but SR3 refuses.. Anyone else experience this, or know of a fix?

I can probably play it with kb/mouse just fine so it's no *crisis*, but I'd sure prefer to play this one with a pad...

I never had a problem using a pad. I dunno.

I'm not entirely sure on this but is there not an option in the controls menu to set it to use gamepad? also makes sure you pad is turned on before the game starts just incase. My 360 pad is working fine with it so I'm not sure what could be the problem. Also try unplugging any other gamepads/joysticks you might have plugged in it might be trying to use one of them over the 360 pad.

Are you using the normal Microsoft branded 360 wired pad? I haven't had any problems to report using that. Just make sure you plug it in before you start the game, that can cause issues with some games.

I use a 360 controller with the wireless USB receiver and it picks it up no problem at all (even if I turn the controller on after the game has started). As with anything PC, make sure your drivers are all up-to-date and installed correctly. But, I imagine you know that. Good luck!
