Samurai Warriors 2 Empires is a more "strategic" version of Samurai Warriors 2. Choose or create your character and lead them into historical battles from the Sengoku period of Japan.

Achievements

Achievements are extra challenges added into video games that sometimes carry a point value or unlock bonus material, and are sometimes solely for bragging rights.
Button Mashing

Button Mashing is a concept used to describe any game or gameplay wherein skill is an aside to how fast a player can hit the buttons on the controller.
Class-specific Pathways

Games that feature terrain that can only be traversed by a specific character class.
Combo

Typically found in fighting games, combos are a series of strung-together moves.
Cooperative Play

Cooperative play in games allows humans to play together as a team to accomplish a task. Instead of playing against a human opponent, the team must defeat an AI.
Create-A Modes

Create-A modes allows the user to create the sports captain of their dreams, their own action hero, or the next Hulk Hogan of wrestling.
Crowd Control

Crowd control is the art of whittling down large groups of attacking enemies via the constant reassessment of the greatest threat to the player; achieved by constant player movement, and adjusting the aim to the closest threat, then quickly moving on to the next greatest threat, and so forth.
Cutscene

A non-interactive sequence within a game most often used for plot advancement.
Damage Over Time

DoT effects are most commonly found in Role Playing Games, and it describes the effects of a gameplay mechanic (often a magic spell) that causes incremental damage over a period of time such as a fire spell leaving someone to continually burn.
Experience Points

Experience Points are part of a character advancement system commonly found in RPGs. These points are generally gained by defeating an enemy or completing a task.
Feudal Japan

The "feudal" period of Japanese history, which was dominated by powerful regional families holding large areas of land (daimyo) and military warlords (shogun), between 1185 and 1868 AD.
Fodder Enemies

Fairly weak enemies (not specific characters) that go down in a couple shots or swings, but will keep coming in droves.
Hack and Slash

A term previously used to refer to RPGs that focus more on the action, today it more often refers to action games which focus on hack & slash gameplay.
Horse

Equines that go 'neigh' and tend to eat hay. Some are the stars of motion pictures. The truest of companions to many adventurers.
Horse Riding

Horse riding is mostly used in games to get around from one place to another quicker than you could on foot. They can also sometimes be used in combat or racing.

A traditional household role in which the wife spends her days taking care of the house and children while the husband is at work.
Kunoichi

Female ninja.
Magic

The concept of affecting the universe through supernatural methods, breaking the fundamental laws of science.
Micromanagement

Micromanagement is the act of increasing the efficiency and longevity of units during a battle, or managing equipment, statistics and abilities on an obsessive level.
Mounted Combat

Combat based on organic (or similarly functioning) mounts. This can include melee or ranged attacks from horseback.
Multiple Endings

Multiple endings is a term used to describe different outcomes or conclusions to a game based on the previous actions of the player.
Multiple Protagonists

Sometimes one playable character just isn't enough.
Musou Attack

A type of character-specific special attack seen in all variants of Koei's Musou franchise.
Ninja

Legendary, stealthy assassins from Japan's feudal era, who are ridiculously well-trained in the art of the sword, and who may or may not have access to magical powers. If you ever manage to see a ninja, you're already dead.
Samurai

Samurai, or Bushi (literally, "warriors") were a social class class in feudal Japan, equivalent to Western aristocracy, knights.
Shogun

Japanese commanders.
Soft Reset

Soft resetting is used in many console games to reset a game using the controller.
Splash Damage

Splash damage is a term used in several types of games, most notably in first-person shooter and real-time strategy games, to refer to damage taken by players or objects in the area surrounding a point of weapon impact.
Split-Screen Multiplayer

Sometimes, you want to play games with a real person who's sitting right next to you. These games have you covered.
Upgradeable Weapons

Weapons can often be upgraded with new attachments, augmentations, or magical enchantments. These upgrades result in the original item being more powerful than originally intended.
