Overview
Secrets of Rætikon is a sidescrolling, exploration-driven adventure game, with combat that is said to be optional. As in Chasing Aurora, players will control a bird and explore the ancient ruins of a lost civilization in the Alps. The game will have its own ecosystem with animals interacting with each other and the player who can lure, feed, tease or provoke them to fight each other.
The player must navigate the environments in order to find runes and uncover the secrets of the lost civilization. This is done by collecting slivers and activating old machines which allow you to progress. Along the way you’ll find runes which allow you to decipher relics from the civilization. The game features a large focus on movement with your character gaining and losing momentum based on gravity and wind. Much of the challenge in the game is finding the runes and how to access them.
