The focus in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is primarily on exploration and infrequently on combat
The focus in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is primarily on exploration and infrequently on combat unlike Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider, and is now stealth-based more or less. The rainforest environments akin to those in Core Design's Tomb Raider III (1998) are lush and even hark back to the lost Inca civilizations featured in the original Tomb Raider (1996). These throwbacks to the classics are cleverly implemented and fans of the franchise will surely take notice. However, Eidos Montreal offers nothing new to the table that we haven't already seen in the last two installments other than attractive visuals.
