Button Mashing is a term used to describe gameplay where certain skills can be only realized explicitly through mashing buttons, a reckless player trying to get results or when the game rewards the player(s) who bash buttons the fastest. The latter example is common in Party Games.
The player character jumps on the back of an enemy during a battle to take control of them.
Quick Time Events show up in all sorts of games as an attempt to make cutscenes interactive. Press the buttons displayed on-screen before time runs out, or else.
Raw Shocks are monsters encountered in Silent Hill. They change appearance as the game progresses.
Although not technically zombies, these weird variations on the zombie cause massive trouble for Agent Francis York Morgan in his investigation during Deadly Premonition.
Many of the games released for the Nintendo Wii take 'advantage' of the controls available by forcing the player to shake or 'waggle' the Wii remote and/or nunchuck. Waggling generally does not require skill on the part of the player; only shaking movements.
Wall Crawlers are upgraded 'Shadows' and basically mini bosses in the game Deadly Premonition. They cling to the walls and the ceiling in corridors, waiting for people to strangle.
