I was just looking through the archives, and got real sad about the general time of this game's release. That aside, did the Bombers ever talk about this game on the show, or did it get passed in the wake of tragedy?

They mentioned it a few times but I don't think any of the staff actually played it.

I don't think it was really their type of game anyway. It's too much of an old-school JRPG.

It's not Persona 4 related so no.

They would have never made it past Naraku, anyway. By no fault of their own! Main series SMT will probably always be just enough under the radar to provoke much discussion at most outlets, unless certain staff members are already fans.

I remember someone asking Jeff on his tumblr about the game a while back and him mentioning something about not being all that interested in it. Remind you the game also came out at a really bad time for the Giant Bomb crew as it came out mere weeks after Ryan's death.

@corruptedevil: I honestly don't remember him ever talking about that game beyond the Quick Look they did. I do remember him talking about Devil Survivor, which I can see being a little more up his alley given the similarities to Persona, but I'm pretty certain he didn't finish it either.
