Anyone remember the last time Jeff liked a new game? Feels like he's been pretty down on everything this year. Between that and his atrocious food takes I think the dude just needs a vacation.

Jeff mentioning Gang Beasts during the Fall Guys segment spurred a thought: Gang Beasts, or Human Fall Flat, or any game with that type of control should pull a Fortnite and add in a battle royale mode copying Fall Guys, and then become more popular than Fall Guys.

Sounds like the new Avengers game is a cash grab trying to cash in on the End Game fire.

Dang. I was hoping it would be a good game.

@jasperkazai: Yeah, tbh, I feel like the Gang Beasts devs could spend like 4-6 weeks slapping together a battle royale and it would be at least as good as Fall Guys.

This probably doesn't matter if you're not into the story of this Avengers game to begin with, but Ms. Marvel being an Avengers fangirl isn't some thing they came up with to make her the player/narrator character for this game. It's been part of her character since her introduction in the comics in 2013. (For context, that was only year after the first Avengers movie came out. Marvel was already putting out multiple movies a year, but it wasn't quite the saturated landscape we have today.) I can see how this comes off as cringey or bad if it's not written well in the game.

People will buy new consoles regardless of limited new games but, yeah, Xbox is looking kind of rough. I'm committed to buying PS5 at launch but that's mostly because my PS4 HDD is so noisy right now. I do know people excited for buying it at launch though. Kind of surprised Sony isn't leaning into better performance for Last of Us and Tsushima -- makes me wonder if these won't be patched for PS5 until late into 2021.

Surely someone on the Avenger's dev team has to be screaming, "Nobody wants this, we are going to lose a ton of money if we put this out".

Jeff's eyebrow bit at the beginning gave me a big laugh that I really needed, so thank you. I've rewatched it a couple of times and I have no idea what it is exactly but it just gets me.

I had a similarly visceral reaction to the fact that Dragonball Z Kakarot came out THIS FUCKING YEAR ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!

Kind of sad that Fall Guys isn't well liked by the staff. It's such a fun game and I can't stop playing it. Jeff just wants it to be Gang Beasts, which is not what it should strive to be. If you want to climb walls, play Gang Beasts. Fall Guys is a silly battle royale version of MXC and it does that really well. They just need to iron out the kinks and add more to it which they've already started doing with another final round game.
