I haven't listened to it yet, but Damn, it seems that they missed the Halo Infinite delay news. Would love to hear Jeff's rant about the development issue that game has.

Not surprised about the Halo Infinite delay. That showcase of the game looked terrible. The graphics were comparable to an Xbox 360, not from the so-called most powerful console ever built the Series X. Without game pass which was a brilliant idea, Microsoft would be in the position Sega was in decades ago.

The reaction to the live and breaking news of Halo being delayed was so good, that I'm about to watch it a second time.

I feel like the talk about the Series X not having any games to launch with is missing the entire promise of Game Pass. To dismiss Game Pass assumes that you both buy a lot of games already and have a gaming PC where it looks better than it can on the One X, which is like a ridiculously miniscule portion of the audience. I'm not sure how it will actually shake out, with Spider-Man launching on PS5, but to have Microsoft saying "yo buy ours and it's the best console and also all of your shit works on it and also pay us ten bucks and you have immediate access to hundreds of games, and also Halo is next year don't sweat it" seems way more open and inviting than Sony's offering.

So I primarily game on my one x and have game pass but I don’t believe the value of said service is as strong as you’re implying. I read an article on I think Forbes which made a great point implying that game pass offers a lot of mediocre (or at least not AAA) content across a bunch of genres which is great but I’m growing increasingly concerned that this title wave of high budget content isnt coming from Microsoft’s first party studio's. The reality is, if I find one great new $20 title on game pass a month I’m not really getting this incredible value; Microsoft needs more “game of the year” $60 dollar titles to really make the case for game pass in my opinion.

Halo Infinite looks fine but extremely uninspired. And that's not something you can fix with a delay.

@aires: Melee was Launch window. I know in the UK at least it was perhaps 3/4 weeks after launch.

Luigi's Mansion, Rogue Squadron, and Super Monkey Ball was a pretty good exclusive, if not first party lineup.

The real question is: Do we need games everywhere? The iPhone already has lots of ports of PC games and some decent mobile games, yet most people (I've seen outside) stay on YouTube and social media.

So what's left then? Streaming games to people with bad hardware but lots of desire to play games? If you ask me the people who can't afford the hardware, can't afford another monthly fee in their life either.

So halo isn’t coming out at launch, Sony doesnt have any decent launch titles either. I wouldn’t worry about it

@sintes: Some people don’t want hardware, but have the money for hardware. I hate large boxes lying around with loud fans and cords everywhere. I wouldn’t personally play Stadia on my iPhone, but I might on my iPad, and I definitely already play Stadia every day on my laptop and Chromecast. My PS4 just exists for COD Modern Warfare, and for a future when I feel ok about using Redbox again to rent blu-rays.

Brad should play DMC5. Dante gets a motorbike as a weapon that he can ride, and also tear in two and use as a weapon in each hand.

He should also rectify one of Giant Bomb’s biggest missed opportunities, and finally play DMC3 with Vinny along for the ride.

The PS5 Launch/"Holiday 2020" lineup, as far as we know, is a lot more than just Spider-Man, unless you think timed exclusives/console exclusives/cross-gen don't count for whatever arbitrary reason. (The important thing is, these games will not be on the competing console at this time.) It has BUGSNAX !!! Also, Deathloop, Kena, Godfall, Jett, The Pathless, Oddworld. Geoff Keighley called Astro's Playroom a "multi-hour" game, so unless he misspoke, I would count that as a launch game, too.

Reliable insiders have also said Sony should have another first party game ready at launch. And every first party game shown at their June showcase is targeting 2020 or 2021. That is HUGE if true. I'd expect Sony to give more concrete dates at their next big PS5 show.

Why do people still buy iPhones? Apple is way too restrictive with their phones.

Why bring IGN into this when GameSpot was the website with the console war message board? And surprise GameSpot and Giant Bomb are both owned by CBS.

While acknowledging that they often get the shitty end of the stick when it comes to pay and conditions - I am not sure I am willing to give all servers and retail workers a pass. There are plenty of terrible ones around.

Kidding aside, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) and Miss Marvel (Kamala Khan) are 2 distinct characters (confusing I know).

@voidstrike: Can’t tell exactly what you’re asking. The game has Ms. Marvel. And yes, different GB staff members seemingly can’t decide if they want to say it as Ms. Marvel or Miss Marvel.

Also I’m not sure how many millennials or younger have any idea that there’s a difference between the two titles.

What are the launch games for PS5? .......yea nothing great.

@topcyclist: I more mean that the whole Miss/Ms./Mrs. thing feels increasingly antiquated, because who has the time to know everyone's marital status. It seems like it is only relevant if you frequently use very formal language in a law or government setting.

95% confident that the Suicide Squad art that got posted is just crosshairs over supermans head- as in you'll be playing as the suicide squad and the main mission will be to bring down superman.

To have it be bizarro superman would certainly be interesting, but how anyone ever expects to control Bizarro, even Amanda Waller, would be completely beyond me.
