I'm gonna stick up for Bakalar here (and hope I don't regret it). I've totally eaten watermelons with strands in them. They aren't enough to put me off of them, but the strands are real.

For clarification, Baldur's Gate being -700 to win GOTY means it's the overwhelming favorite. It means you would have to bet $700 just to win $100. If you bet $100 on Mario Wonder and it won GOTY you would win $2000.
