Great show! The type of comedy totally got me. Two Minutes To Late Night was completely off my radar but just added it to my watchlist and added a few of the podcasts mentioned to Overcast. Looking forward to hearing all the horrible albums they talk about.

As with all pilot episodes, there’s gonna be a “getting to know you” phase. Big fan of 2M2LN, I have an acquaintance in their band, and I’m psyched to see where they go from here.

I know it’d be pricey for a Gwarsenio or a Hard Melissa appearance, but if they’ve got the time, I’ve got the inclination.

If I were more interested in the topic, I'd really dig listening to this group.

Halfway in so far, but I’m enjoying this a lot. I would however like to echo the request for some clips of the album tracks to get thrown in (assuming they’re not present in the rest of the video). Otherwise I’m going to need to do some homework in advance every week.

I think they nail the central issue with Rivers Cuomo: he is so goddamn needy for approval while also being annoyingly dismissive of it. That Summer Games Fest song is the worst shit I’ve heard this year, and I listened to St. Anger for the first time.

I was excited after seeing some of the positive comments here, but man, this does nothing for me. Without someone from the GB crew on it feels like a random YouTube video. Hope the rest of the community enjoys it, but definitely not what I'm subscribed for.

Pretty funny in terms of shitting on a bad album. Would be more interested in a dissection of an album that has both good parts and awful parts, that way there'll be something to think about rather than just "hah, they burned 'em good with that joke".

Shame GB didn’t learn about diversity while Abby was there. Unfortunately, here’s an all white cast making a show only for white people who will only ever be able to talk about white music. What a shame.

So it seems I'm a little too old and/or not enough of a music nerd to get ALL the jokes here, but there was still enough that I did get that I will certainly check out the next episode.

@headsci: This show has three women and another GB show has a non-white man on it.

GB still has a ways to go but this is already more than we usually get. I'm not saying let's settle we made some progress, but let's not pretend we're making 0 progress.

Def liked what I heard but would love if they treated it more like How Did This Get Made and get in a little more depth with the record.

The humor is a bit crude for my taste, but the cast seem like a fun bunch of people with good chemistry. They definitely got some laughs out of me. I'm not big into music so a lot of this kinda when over my head. But hey, now I know not to buy the new Weezer album.

I love shows about music, but man this just seems mean and cynical.

It's channeling everything I hate about twitter hot take / dunk culture - I think we should be propping up things we like instead of hating on things we don't.

I had zero knowledge of 2MTLN but really enjoyed this! I know it isn't classic Giant Bomb and I get people feel it's too different... but isn't that what the Jeffs promised though? This is in my GB rotation for sure :)

I didn't sub for years for this show.... but this show is gonna be one of the reasons I continue to sub to Giant Bomb!

@roadshell: I agree. This isn't a good album, but there are certainly worse Weezer albums, and I would liked to have seen a little more effort go into seeing what the rest of their career looked like. It wasn't all terrible albums between 1996 and now.

This was great except one thing: y'all got to find a median audio level for all participants. I could barely hear Katie while Jeremy and Lucie were blowing out my speakers. Just need to find a nice even mix, is all. The show itself is fucking fantastic, though! Katies concert story was pure gutterpunk magic.

If this is what Giant Bomb's gonna be going forward, I really regret re-upping my premium for another year. I'm sure all these people are cool and nice, but no one from Giant Bomb is involved with this show, so... Why is it a Giant Bomb premium show?

@headsci: What would you consider actual progress then? Because I think something is better than nothing. Especially if it means we'll get more diversity as time goes on.

This show definitely has room to grow (I'd like to hear a little bit about how the album was received when it came out, personally) but this was a good first episode and I'll definitely be following along

I like this suggestion a lot. It'd be nice to understand how wider audiences or critics viewed the album to better gauge how most people view it.
