Re: number of cars on the track, I believe the current agreement allows for a maximum of 12 teams and 24 cars on the grid. For the 2016 season with the addition of Haas, we now have 11 teams, so there is still room for one more team.

There have been numerous rumors about a partner/junior team for Honda in F1, but one of the most likely targets (Sauber) appears to have other sources of money coming in. There are no other real targets unless Honda flips a team like Force India or Williams away from the Mercedes ties they have now.

Scalectrix is more of a UK brand. The rest of Europe would probably be more familiar with Carrera

Scalectrix and AFX are big in Australia.

Yeah, I'm surprised Drew hadn't heard of Tyco brand slot cars.

There is no such thing as an English Parliament. England does not have a devolved administration like Wales (National Assembly of Wales Members are known as AMs) and Scotland (Scottish Parliament Members are known as MSPs) do, so English Members of Parliament are just MPs as are Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish MPs.

If you are afraid of your ears dont be afraid. The new V6 engines are barely louder than roadcars. If you wanna watch the GP2 and GP3 race i would recommend some earplugs however its not even close to the pre 2014 F1 cars.

As a side note, I approve of the fact that no-one in the above comments talking about Scalextric managed to spell it correctly. One of the most confusing brand spellings I've ever encountered.

I'm showing my age here, but the thing which probably got me into F1 was a Christmas present of an F1 Scalextric set. The two cars were Wolf Racing vehicles, the team James Hunt drove for in 1979.
