Two notes on two young drivers mentioned in the 2017 silly season:

Jordan King's father, Justin King, is former CEO of Sainsbury's and current chairman of Major Racing. Family possibly even owns Manor Racing. So yes, there's a good chance he could join in 2017 if his super license comes through.

Lance Stroll's dad is also a wealthy French-Canadian, and the kid appears to have talent as well. The family owns the Mount Tremblant circuit in Quebec, and the father (an investor in fashion brands) has more than $2 billion of value. So he'll find the grid.

I hate crossing the river, but I'll do it for y'all.

I'm tempted to go downtown the next couple of nights and see if I run into any of the drivers. RIC posed on the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge for his Insta feed yesterday.

Nice! I live 5 minutes away from Gibson Bar. I will be there Friday night.

I actually prefer the sound of the new cars now, I've seen them at Melbourne both V8 and V6. No annoying ear plugs necessary, which were a hassle to keep on walking between viewing areas.

The F1 App is actually really cool. And if you subscribe you get commentary and all sorts of cool stuff. Definitely worth checking out.
