Thanks, Drew and Danny! :D

I was worried I wouldn't have a podcast ready to go for tomorrow, hurrah.

As for the Pastor cult... I still haven't watched a single race but Maldonado is my favorite race man. You did this!!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I really couldn't care less about racing at all. F1, NASCAR, the kids at my school who race their bikes to the burger joint, all of it. I do not care at all about racing.

Yet for some reason I absolutely love this podcast. It's like following a soap opera with all the team based intrigue, in-fighting, and betrayal. I have no idea who this "Hamilton" fellow is, but I felt real bad for him getting screwed over a few podcasts ago and I'm hoping he makes a heroic comeback.

@dannyodwyer: As a New Yorker, your accent is pretty decent. Although, since I can actually understand the words that are coming out of your mouth, you loose a little of the authenticity. Youse guys are doing a pretty good job. Keep it up.

wait, what's up with J.P? oh he has the lap record at monza, for a minute I thought Montoya might come back to f1 with Haas. Montoya is probably my favourite driver in recent history because he was quite outspoken.

Any way thanx for the podcast guys looking forward to monza.

The seagull video is the best video on the entire internet. I watch it every day. It's the nose cone damaged and peeled upwards though, not an actual seagull. Fooled me for a while though, and it obviously caught the commentator out. I love how so much happens at once, the commentators brain & mouth are having a hard time keeping up.

About Monza, it is one of my favorite tracks, the race itself is quite fast, there have been years that the whole race took only a bit more then an hour.

It also has the record of the fastest speed record for a F1 car during a race: 372.6 km/h or 231.5 mph

It also has the record of the fastest avarage speed of a F1 car during a racing lap: 262.2 km/h or 162.9 mph

About the track, I have been there once, what really impressed me was how steep the bunked corners on the old oval really are, they look like a wall. There is no way modern cards can race there.

One of the most crazy incidents what at the last lap on the finishing line, Christian Fittipaldi, crashes, does a complete loop and gets the checked flag in the car still running.

Loading Video...

There were some really good classic Monza races as well, during the time before DRS and KERS when it was really impossible to pass, people during the year were waiting for the Monza race because we know that at least there we would see some overtaking actions.

If you wanna see how the F1 cars used to race on the Original Monza oval + mixed track I suggest watching the movie "Grand Prix", before "Rush" it was the best movie about F1.

I also remember that the Monza race on 2001, was the first F1 race after 9/11 incident, and there were some doubts before the race if it would actually happen, and lots of cars had mourning signs, Ferrari raced without any sponsor signs and a black nose.

And hey I own a Vita and love F1, I have the original F1 game for the Vita and it is not good. There is no reason to play that if you can play on the PC with a real controller or even better with a racing wheel.

I also remember those old Quick looks of F1 games on GB, those were really cringeworthy for someone who were F1 fans, but fun to watch anyway.

This is the oval + mixed track from the 50s and 60s:

No Caption Provided

Not only the oval was amazing but the mixed part had no chicanes to slowdown the corners, was almost flat-out all the time.

I feel like most of the F1 enthusiasts already prefer PC, both for graphics and for a wider range of racing controllers.

Also regarding alcohol, in Canada you are allowed to consume as a minor, but only with permission/supervision of a legal parent/guardian.

I could be wrong but by the way Danny described the American version of "hash" meaning good quality in America, sounds like he might be confusing the word kush with hash, but I'm not American, I've just never heard the word hash used to describe quality just to describe any quality pressed weed/resin and I do know that a good amount of people use the word kush to describe good weed though

They widened the parabolica to meet the safty requirements of bikers. Monza is in Dire Straits and need every cash grab they can get their hands on. For open wheel racing it sucks.

The 2005 Italian Grand Prix was the first I attended when I was 11 years old. I still remember the insane sound of the V10s down the main straight. Since then I've been to 9 Australian GPs from 2006 to 2014. Anyone here attended a GP before? If not, I highly recommend it.

Most countries it's illegal to purchase not drink underage.

And in Lithuania and most eastern Europe drunk driving used to be and still is a huge problem, so it's taken very seriously.

And Oh My GOD the accents!

I went to Jacarepagua, Interlagos, Monza and Spa.

I have been to several other circuits to see other categories like MotoGP, Indycar, 24 hours GT, etc.

There was an episode of Top Gear that had JPM in it, talking about the difference between F1 and NASCAR that was pretty interesting. I think it's on Netflix, but fair warning it has Matt LeBlanc in it:)
