I almost felt sorry for Rosberg, almost. Granted the season could need Rosberg fighting with Hamilton up there, but it almost feels like he has given up already.

I tuned out halfway through. It seems like I only missed some whiny Hamilton radio. I would say something about the track, but people get really snobby and angry whenever I do.

@tissot: Last year was only close because Hamilton had to retire a bunch of times. If he didn't he would've run away with the championship. He's just slower than Hamilton.

@trace17: Ericsson hit the back end of Grosjeans car in the first corner killing his rear suspension, Grosjean then swerves to the left puncturing Nasr and pressing Hulkenberg further left forcing Pastor in to the chicane over the kerbs.

Since pit stop comparison between F1 and NASCAR came up, here's a great video that shows off the differences between different racing disciplines.

Note, you can see the wedge adjustment being done in the first NASCAR example, look at the rear-window. Also worth noting that a NASCAR team sometimes elects to only change right-side tires (as the left side doesn't wear out as fast) to decrease their pit time. This is a gamble between better handling and time lost on pit road so can be an interesting strategy call in some scenarios.

Actually Lauda refused to have any sort of plastic surgery done on his burned face. He states to this day, that he wants the scars to stay as a reminder of how lucky he is to still be alive.

I'm new to premium and i think i have to start watching F1 again. I'm from Germany and when i last watched F1 Michael Schumacher was at his best. This podcast might gimme a reason to.

I believe the driver that won the Bathurst 12-hour endurance race this year is also a GT Academy winner. Being good at Gran Turismo gets you into a real world driver training program(me), and then Nissan slots you into one of their racing teams. It's a genius idea frankly, and not just from a marketing point.
