Its nice were getting a alt f1 while drew is on vacation at all... but i would much rather have waited a week and have Danny and Drew talk about one of the best races this season. All well, not complaining so don't bash me please.

@ilikepopcans: I'm sure Drew and Danny will talk about this some when he's back. I doubt they would've had time to release two separate Alt+F1s next week anyway!

Edit: Also @dannyodwyer the virtual safety car doesn't cap the speed of the cars, all the drivers get a delta time on their steering wheel for each sector that they have to keep above.

Fair play to Dan, he gave it an honest shot. The point he made about it looking like a rich persons sport is a valid one.

That said I would still like Drew and Danny to sit down and talk about this race at some point. I feel like it deserves a more in depth discussion than Danny was able to have with Dan.

I used to know someone who worked in Jackie Stewart's local bank. Unsurprisingly, he's exactly the same to members of the public as he is in TV interviews and my mate loved him, but didn't know a thing about motor racing.

I was praying that Dan Ryckert would be hosting this week's Alt+F1. Maybe there is a God after all...

By the way, Rossi didn't kick Marquez off.

Got some Blue Cheese in an effort to defend against the Ryckert-infused rage I'm sure to experience at some point whilst listening to this!

Should add, I don't know if Danny knew, but Nico Rosberg's dad Keke was an F1 driver and won the world championship in 1982

Whenever Dan breaks up the persona and speaks honestly, it makes it a lot easier to take the heelishness the rest of the time. Wish he would more often, he's pretty eloquent when he tries.

Nico throwing that hat at Lewis was legit better than any wrestling moment I've ever seen. I jumped off the couch and yelled. I love watching Nico suffer, it's just so fucking fun.

Well I knew this would be interesting and it totally was.

This is the first Alt+F1 I listened to, and I found it very entertaining with Dan.

I watched F1 as a kid, but now I don't care anymore because of the points Dan made and that I find the races actually pretty boring.

Now I wish there was a podcast where Dan explains Wrestling to me

If I were a more sensitive person, I would've stopped at 8 minutes.

Dan overall did a good job, trying to get into it and understanding the sport and it's fans etc., but of course his crazy wrestling clouded mind went some weird and predictable places at times. Whatever, still good fun.

To summarize Ryckert on F1. He basically thinks of it as fancy Mario Kart.

Disappointing to hear you guys assume Tony Stewart's guilt. I'm no fan of the Tony but there's no reason to believe he hit that guy on purpose. We're talking about someone who got out of his car on a dark, muddy, live race track. Stewart might be an ass but assuming he's a literal murderer just because he's hot tempered is pretty shitty.
