@patrickklepek Looks like The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is going to be $15 on steam. Also Tommy Refenes said recently that Isaac actually sold more copies and made more money than Super Meat Boy, which I never would have thought.

@patrickklepek Ignoring frame rate and resolution arguments may be your best bet. Every time we get new hardware devs add more geometry, particles, characters on screen, improved AI, physics, cloth, fluid, post processing effects, etc. because those are far more interesting to most people than resolution or frame rate. Given lengthening console cycles, it may be a very long time before we reach the point where resolution and frame rate are the most interesting uses of additional computing power. (My appologies about this all being a link. I don't know how to fix that.)

Of course it's a MOBA, Multiplayer Offline Bee Arena.

Wanting the technical side of games to flatline would not please the people who are interested in the technical side. The idea is that standing still is going backwards. Once resolution and framerate get so good the human eye can't tell the difference anymore the attention will be put on other things.

re: Spoilers. I was disappointed with the recent Assassins Creed Unity announcement. That's something would have been interesting to find out on my own.

No way should a review give away the stuff that happens in MGS2 and Halo 2, that's fucking insane.

Ive always appreciated the transparency, at least as far as I know, that Giantbomb has with its developer/publisher relations.

I'm with @PatrickKlepek on not really caring about resolution numbers and the such; probably for the same reasons. I'm just as happy with 30FPS at 720p as I am with 60 at 1080.

Killer Queen Has been at California Extreme for the last 2 years, Its Amazing! They were selling the cabinet for almost a reasonable price too...

weird the youtube version isn't working, for me at least.

Technical aspects play a big role in my purchasing decisions and mean a lot to me but I always found it weird to see console players take it sooo seriously because if they truly felt as strong as they think they do about technical aspects then they would (should) just shut up and get a PC.

Yeah, to the point where I wish the video wasnt on the site. Its such a bummer. Even the description had a spoiler beyond the image (Eiffel tower wasnt built until long after the Rev) and I didn't even watch it. Its weird since Ubi has never done this before with AC.

I played a bunch of Killer Queen at a recent event. It's fun, but my team got our asses kicked handily several times in a row.

I know @alex will be busy reviewing and posting said reviews for two NBA titles at the same time, but with the current gen release of The Wolf Among Us, I hope he remembers to dust off that review he wrote a few months ago and post it (I think he said something about saving the review for when the game was more relevant). I don't want TWAU to become another "lost" GB work, like the Red Dead Redemption review or Dave's tiebreaker note.

This is probably the reading list Patrick was talking about. I'm up to Conquest now, great stuff.

The amount of snark at the start of this made me have to turn it off and watch it today.
