Footage is kinda low quality, looks like output from a Retron pushed through a really bad upscaler. No XRGB in the CBSi building? No Micomsoft capture card (can do 240p natively)? They're not that expensive.

Anyhow, glad to see more Encyclopedia Bombastica! :D

I actually really don't like the usual Encyclopedia Bombastica format, so this was a nice change of pace. I hope they do more like this!

@sammo21: Well, at least every time Lara speak some Japanese is less painful than hearing that dude with glasses and blonde hair says the word "じょうおう"(meaning "queen" for those don't understand the language) just before he gets cut by those zombie samurai, that's something insufferable.

Now I wander if Jeff had played this before reviewing the new Strider, would the score be different. I mean sure it ain't no Shadow Complex but surely better than Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet which Brad gave 4 stars with some saving grace in art design and setting.

Genesis Strider is completely terrible. Don't understand what anyone sees in it. Though this NES game also looks pretty rough.

Same. I eventually got used to the jumping and was easily able to play around its flaws. I still think this is better than the arcade/genesis version.

God, that grindy electronic sound makes me think my computer is about to Blue Screen. Every time.

@infantpipoc: Going down that rabbit hole is dangerous. Same type of thinking that leads to asking yourself why GTAV gets 5 stars when you hear them talk about it on the bombcast it feels mediocre at best. That's why I ignore review scores.

I think it's one of those things where.. which ever version you played first.. that's the one you liked the best. I played the Genesis version first.. it kinda blew my cock off. I wasn't even aware that it was an arcade port. (back then) My local arcade was kinda lame.
