Why hello Alex.

Alex, it's a cool Bombastica and a cool game, but we can barely hear you, man. Game audio too loud...

I tested the audio on this one a bunch and unfortunately there wasn't a good way to set it without being too loud or too quiet. The problem with this game is that the audio tracks fluctuate a lot, so the opening track is way loud but the ones that follow are less so. I think once you get past that first course, you should be able to hear me better. Sorry about that!

we have the metric system Alex but we still use MPH etc in everyday use. No need to hate on us over here in the Enlightened Land of Science and Logic :D

It's either this or Uniracers for my favorite racing game for the SNES. Close call.

Top Gear stuck with me more throughout the years, though, especially with dumb jokes.

Also, complete thumbs up to Alex for picking the RIGHT DAMN CAR. Superior pit strategy wins races. Anyone who disagrees can enjoy going through the rest of their life being wrong.

Good call for a bombastica. Me and my cousin used to play this game for hours on end until our grandmother would chase us out of the house to get some "fresh air"

Hah, that's apparently the SNES US version of the classic Amiga game Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge. You should check out the original Amiga versions, especially Lotus 2. :)

@alex: Yes, it gets way better and it's like you said, the audio on this game fluctuates a lot. Watched it all, loved it. I looooooved this game when I was a kid, the music alone gives me such a nostalgia kick.. Great job, duder!

I played an unhealthy amount of this game as a kid. This and the first Ken Griffey baseball game were always in my SNES.

I was always terrible at this game, but the music is damn awesome.

It was really bizarre to hear that one melody reused in that No Time to Explain game.

Never heard of this before but Alex did a good job of explaining everything. This is the best entry into the encyclopedia yet.

@herk: just type '1 pint = US pint' into google and a handy conversion thingy will appear. You can choose length, mass, volume etc :D

I love Bombastica. Playthroughs of whatever you guys feel like in the db. It's like the Jack FM radio station.

I've never played Top Gear, but I've spent terrible amount of time playing Top Gear 2.

I like the idea of Bombasticas as a one-man quick look. Alex and Patrick get to contribute to videos too, which is nice.

I think I've only actually played Top Gear 2, but I spent a hell of a lot of time doing so. Without a doubt one of the greatest racing franchises of that era, and it's not hard to see how things like this probably directly influenced Gran Turismo and the like.

I don't know, I like having granularity in my thermometer. Living in an area where I see both 0f and 100f degree weather it is not the worst thing in the world to have a human-centric scale to go by.

Also, fevers are easier to see.
