Giant Bomb Presents: Facebook Wants to Get Serious About Games

I still don't even have a Facebook account. I doubt I ever will since I'm obviously a bit of an antisocial grumpychops.

I therefore, can't bring myself to care about this.

I have played two facebook games, the first was when they did that mini endurance run with the interns on Farmvile. I tried to play along side them but after two days of clicking on cows and waiting for my energy to refill or buying energy with real money just to click on more cows , I had to stop before I died from boredom.

The second was when my brother sent me an invite to the Civilization facebook game. I thought to myself how awesome it would be if we could play a quick game of Civilization over facebook. We could get friends and other family members to join us, it would be fun. Than once I started the game and found out it was nothing but a time wasting game like farmvile, i quite after 10 min.

I simply don't care for those types of games, I have far better things to play when I sit at my computer. So unless facebook can bring me some serious games that I could play with family or friends over facebook, I simply don't care.

I really haven't ever played a Facebook game, none of them so far seem all that interesting. Unlike what seems to be most people I'm not offended by their existence though, rather I think they seem to be a pretty fascinating continuation of BBS Door games, and, man, I think I could get into a Facebook based MUD.

@patrickklepek: the interview still cuts out for me around the 17 minute mark and does not come back until the last minute or so

I don't use Facebook, I intend to keep it that way.
