EDIT: Okay a few things. It's fantastic to see Asura's Wrath there. Journey is great. I feel like I should play more of Fez after beating it once and getting stuck on the number system despite figuring out the language.

I really hope that Patrick gives Dark Souls another shot after enjoying the design choices made in ZombiU. Vinny can't be the only person on the site carrying the Souls flag.

Really dug Patrick's list because some entries were so far off the beaten path. No, Pap & Yo and Slender weren't the most impressive games, but they resonated and stuck with him. Kudos Patrick.

Another cool list of games from Tricky. I could never see the draw of those Slender games but I understand why he would like that. Can't wait for the conclusions of the deliberations.

Nice to see ZombiU get some props. It's the best (probably only at this point) reason to own a Wii U.

Wow- probably the most controversial list of the year. And yet I congratulate Tricky for having a unique taste that lets us see another opinion towards the games that came out this year.

I can't rip on Tricky Scoops for being kind of a video game hipster, because hey, we're all entitled to our personal tastes, but man mine just do not line up with his. Also everyone who considers TWD the numero uno best game of the year is fucking nuts.

Wow, I expected to see Hotline Miami on Patrick's list.

His choice for number 10 made me think -- once again -- that he is a pompous aficionado of the new wave. His choice for number 1, however made me think he know his games. I think The Walking Dead should be GOTY, although sadly I know it wont.

What's controversial about it?

Putting Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Black Ops 2, or Max Payne 3 on the top of your GOTY list would be controversial.

I still need to give Papo & Yo a go, I'll forgive mediocre gameplay for a good story.

Is anyone else having problems with watching videos on GB? I very regularly get > 00:00 / 00:00 (on the flash player). Most videos works on the front-page, but ~0% works when I'm not on the front-page (like this page).

I am so, so, so, so sick of people saying "roguelike".

I'll freely admit there are other games that could also fill the spot, but TWD just beats them. Just the way things go.

Seeing how I seem to share pretty much an identical state in games as Patrick this top 10 immediately gave me some new games I need to check out... (Except Fez, it seems great.. but married life with kids and a busy job makes it kinda hard to invest that much into a game).

I fail to see how to choice are, according to some of you, "hipster" or controversial.

By the way, the comments for this video on YouTube are hilarious. I don't know who these people are that watch and comment on Giant Bomb videos from YouTube but it looks like 4chan vomited all over them. A bunch of really sad, sad people over there.

Did Patrick or anybody else in the GB crew actually like Dragon's Dogma? I really loved it, but I don't recall any of them being very into it, so it's understandable but kinda sad that it's not on any of their lists.
